Compression system for ammonia refrigerant R717 (NH3). The compression system is made of 4 Screw type high efficiency compressors. This system operates in two stages.

A/1. "Booster" compression system. Two Mycom N-250 compressors docked to 200 hp motors operating at a 3550 R.P.M. speed. These compressors are built to work under suction temperatures within the range of -37.2°C to 28.9°C. Only one of these compressors is in operation. The second one is in stand by mode.

A/2 Second stage compression system.(High temp compression) two Mycom N-200L, docked to 350 HP motors operating at a 3550 R.P.M. speed built to work under suction temperatures within the range of -9.7°C to 1.7°C currently only one of them is in operation, the other is in stand by.

All the compressors alternate their operation time in order to keep the system always in function and observing preventive maintenance all the time.

Condensation system made of two evaporative condensers with centrifuge fans.

Recycling System. The ammonia recycling system is 3:1, this system operates by pressure differentials commonly called Phillips system which is made of two storage batteries each one of them with its own vertical recycling trap. One of these is used for low temp chambers and the other for high temp chambers

Evaporative system. This system is designed for 13 polythermic and polyvalent chambers plus two Blast Freezer tunnels alongside with a North Star Ice factory.
